Equipment & Philosophy

I have been using Nikon equipment for the past 24 years.  In 2005, I switched from film to digital photography.  I have access to a photo studio in North Boulder, with a general preference for on-location shoots.  I believe that nature provides the best shooting and lighting environment.

My approach to the editing process is minimalist, with little manipulation of the photos.  To preserve the reality of an image, I typically correct the lighting, color, and contrast to fine tune it, cropping as needed.  Other improvements may include some skin retouching or removing distracting objects from the background.  Additional touch ups can be performed for a small fee, as requested.
